Application and analysis on geosteering technology of coalbed methane multi branch wells

In order to improve a seam drilling ratio,based on the site geosteering requirement and technical difficulties,a systematic geosteering principle and method of the seam multi branch wells were summarized.The steering technology of the landing and horizontal section was analyzed.The geosteering working procedure and the real time tracing adjustment steering method were established and the geosteering technology of the coalbed methane multi branch wells was provided.With the application case of Z0A-1H well in Zhengzhuang Block,the suitability and application effect of the coalbed methane multi branch well geosteering method were verified.The well bore tracing was successfully adjusted twice,the well bore drilled through floor was retuned to the seam and the drilling was successfully completed. The total drilling footage was 5 257 m,the total drilling in seam was 3 673 m and the seam drilling ratio was 85. 14%. The geosteering technology would have certain guidance significances to the multi branch wells in the block.
