Multi-attribute analysis of nuclear reactor accident emergency decision making

Emergency decision making during nuclear reactor accidents is a complex decision-process.The decision must take many factors into account,including many uncertain factors.A multi-attribute analysis makes the decision more reasoned and scientific so the decision result is more reasonable.This method first generates an attribute tree which is related to the decision object and then simplifies the attribute tree after the decision conference.The gross utilities of the strategies are calculated after the attribute utility functions are built and weighted.Application of this method to a real emergency decision-making case shows that the multi-attribute analysis helps the decision maker make rational decisions in a nuclear accident scenario.
