Failure Cause Analysis of Tubing in Production Environment of 39-XX Oil and Gas Well

In order to clarify the corrosion status and failure causes of the failed tubing extracted from 39-XX oil and gas well, this paper used metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy spectrum analysis to observe the macroscopic morphology, microscopic corrosion morphology and perforation failure causes of the N80 tubing samples submitted for on-site inspection.The results show that there were no perforation and other failure phenomena of the tubing at 500 m depth.At 1500 m depth, the tubing body was corroded by fluid erosion on one side, leading to local perforation, and pitting corrosion on other parts of the inner wall on the same side was obvious. The semi-ring area of the end face of the threaded joint in the same depth of the well was seriously corroded(on the same side as the perforation), indicating that there was a certain inclination of the pipe body at 1500 m, and the impact corrosion of the fluid leads to unilateral perforation failure of the pipe body and the end face of the threaded joint.
