Study on Flexible Piezoresistive Sensors for Capsule Endoscopy

In this paper,parallel and staggered thermoplastic polyurethane( P-TPU and S-TPU,respectively) micro-nanofibrous mats were prepared with electrospinning.The fiber diameters were( 0.75±0.3) μm and( 1.0±0.24) μm,respectively.Polypyrrole was grown on the surface of P-TPU fiber mats with chemical oxidative polymerization to form conductive layers. Finally,the S-TPU fiber mats were used as the base layers and the encapsulation layers,and the polypyrrole-modified fiber mats were used as the sensing layers to construct a sandwich-structured piezoresistive sensor. The device exhibited high sensitivity( 3. 7 k Pa-1),excellent cycling stability( 1 500 cycles),and enabled real-time monitoring of intestinal motility.
