Hydrodynamics Performance Calculation of Underwater Vehicle's High-skewed Contra-rotating Propeller

High efficiency and low noise are the respective advantage of the contra-rotating propeller(CRP) and the high-skewed propeller(HSP).A reasonable design of high-skewed contra-rotating propeller(HCP) can employ these two advantages.Hydrodynamics performance calculation is a key issue in the design of HCP.Based on the Reynolds -averaged N-S equation and RSM turbulence model which the multi-rotating area problem is solved by multi-reference frame(MRF),the steady flowfield is simulated and the factors can be calculated,such as thrust,torque,speed, efficiency,etc.in contrast to the conventional CP,the HCP have better performance in terms of hydrodynamics. Therefore,it is applicable in the field of thrusters for underwater vehicle.
