A Digital Method of Wideband Channel Equalization Based on Post-stretch Processing

Wideband channel nonlinearity and consistency are important factors that restrict beam performance and imaging quality of wideband phased array radar. The theory of post-stretch processing channel equalization is investigated, a digital solution of time-variant compensation factors for multi-channel is presented, and the processing procedures and algorithm of channel compensation value are also put forward. Simulation results demonstrate the validity of the processing procedures and the algorithm. So the problem of the inconsistent nonlinear characteristics between multiple channels of wideband radar is solved, and ideal low side lobe in time-domain and space-domain of wideband digital beam for multi-channel post-stretch can be realized. This technique can be used to guide the engineering practice of wideband digital array radar
