Experimental Study of Effects of Curcumin Solid Dispersion Preparation on Fatty Liver in Rats

Objective To observe the preventing effect of Curcumin Solid Dispersion Preparation on fatty liver in rats.Methods Sixty mice were randomly divided into six groups,such as normal group,model group and three curcumin groups in different doses.The compound fatty liver models were induced by high-fat feeding,intragastric administration with the alcohol and subcutaneous injection with CCl4.On 16 d, all the mice were killed,and the contents of TG,CHO and LDL-C in the serum and the liver tissue were determined.The change of liver histology was observed.Results The contents of TG,CHO and LDL-C in the serum and the liver were decreased in the curcumin-treating groups compared with the model group.The liver histology and liver indexes of the curcumin-treating groups were better than those of the model group.Conclusion Curcumin can prevent fatty liver,and the effect may depend on its dose.
