The Inhibition of Refined Components of Medicago Sativa Polysaccharides to the Activities of Reverse Transcriptase of HIV and Protease of HIV

Objective: To research the rate gained from the refined components, to research the inhibited result of the refined components in vitro. Methods: The coarse medicago sativa polysaccharides was soaked with hot water and flushed away in subsection with DEAE-Cellulose column. As a result, four components S1?S2?S3 and S4 were gained; Then, the activities of the reverse transcriptase of HIV and the protease of HIV were detected and compared through the test kit. Result: S3 and S4 were higher inhibition rate to the reverse transcriptase of HIV, 99.6% and 76.7% respectively; S1 and S2 were higher of the protease of HIV, 58.6% and 55.9% respectively. Conclusion: S3 and S4 showed a higher inhibiting function to the activity of the reverse transcriptase of HIV. In contrast, S1 and S2 showed a higher inhibiting function to the activity of the protease of HIV.
