A Study on the Improvement of the Thermal Control Strategy for the 6 kV Motor and the Fans of the Coal-fired Boiler

Due to the original imperfect thermal control strategy,the 6 kV motor or the fans of the 8# boiler in Guangzhou Hengyun Power Plant can be easily tripped during their operation because of non-timely linkages to stand-by equipment or malfunctions in thermal process protection,which can lead to load-shedding of the unit even nonplanned halt accidents. In order to reduce such faults,the original thermal control strategy has been improved. Malfunctions in one year have been lessened from 8 times( before the improvement) to none,which shows that the operational reliability of the motor and the fans has been effectively enhanced.
