MIJLTIPARAMETER ANALYSIS OF ACUTE LEUKEMIAIMMUNOPHENOTYPING WITH FLOW CYTOMETRY

one marrows of 105 cases of acute leukerma (AL)were immunophenotyped with flow cytometry with 5parameters and 12 monoclonal antibodies. The first 3McAbs were used to discriminate main AL lineages:CD_(13)/CD_(33)-myeloid lineage (AML) , CD_(19)-B lymphoidlineage (B-ALL) , CD_7-T lymphoid lineage (T-ALL).Then, the cells were labeled by lineage related McAbsfor further subtyping leukemias. Samples were analysedon FACScan with a Paint-a-Gate soft ware. AML cellsshowed three patterns: differentiation antigen lowexpression, differentiation antigen high expression, andaberrant antigen expression. All showed differentiationantigens coexpression. The results suggested that theAL immunologic characters on flow cytometry could beused in studying the malignant charactersitics of AL andprognosing AL.
