Study on antioxidation activities of polysaccharides extracted from Tremella fuciformis Berk.

Object: To study antioxidant effect of gradient sodium hydroxide extracting polysaccharides from Tremella fuciformis Berk fermentation products. Methods: The antioxidant reaction of the four polysaccharides was studied by three experiments: inhibiting red cells hemolysis by H_2O_2, eliminating superoxide anion free radical (O_2 . ) and scavenging hydroxyl free radicals(.OH). Results: The inhibiting ratio of TFFB-A,TFFB-B,TFFB-C,TFFB-D for red cells hemolysis are 21.4, 31.2, 28.5 and 25.6% respectively; the eliminating ratio for O_2 . are 21.4%,28.4%,36.6%,53.0% respectively; They can also scaveng hydroxyl free radicals(.OH), the consistence of eliminating 50% of all free radicals(EC_ 50 )are 233.6, 603, 191 and 195mg/L respectively. Conclusion: The all four polysaccharides from Tremella faciformis Berk fermentation products have a certain capability of antioxidation.
