The effects of Sedum lineare Thunb on IL-10,TNF-α and NF-κB protein expression in tumor tissue of S180-bearing mice

Objective: To study the anti-tumor mechanisms of Sedum lineare Thunb(SLT) alcohol extract by investigate the protein expression of IL-10,TNF-α and NF-κB in tumor tissue in mice bearing S180 sarcoma.Methods: S180-bearing mice model were established by subcutaneously inoculating S180 ascitic tumor into the right armpit.From the second day,the mice were treated with normal saline,cyclophosphamide(50 mg/kg) or two doses of SLE(4,8 g/kg) through intragastric administration,and the process extent 14 days.After the last administration,the mice body weight and the index of tumor,the protein expression of IL-10,TNF-α,NF-κB/P65 and NF-κB/P50 in tumor tissue were measured by western blot method.Results: The body weight of mice treatmented with SLT was dramaticlly higher than those of the CP.Compare with the model group,SLT groups showed decreases in tumors index and could significantly improve the protein expression of IL-10,TNF-α,NF-κB/P65 and NF-κB/P50.Conclusion: Activating NF-κB and then elevating TNF-α level is one of the mechanisms of SLT's anti-tumor effect,and enhancing IL-10 content is the other one.
